2006-10-30Parts 6 AND 7 up! So Rick (the guy who built this site for me) was over at my house over the weekend and he informed me that I'm actually getting quite a bit of traffic here and that yes, people ARE reading it. So, that means I probably will start posting news again here.
Parts 6 and 7 of "The Making of Sonic Clang's Studio" are both up and running on youtube.
Here's part 6
Here's part 7 (The guy at the beginning of this video is the guy who built this site.)
2006-08-21Part 5 up Man I'm slow. Anyway, Part 5 of "The Making of Sonic Clang's Studio" is now up and running on youtube.com. Or you can watch it right here.
Does anyone even read this page? If you read this... ever, e-mail me because I'm curious if anyone out there even reads this at all.
2006-07-21Part 3 and 4 up Parts 3 and 4 are both up and running of my studio construction videos. I keep forgetting to post here!

Part 4
2006-07-11Pray for Roger Ebert I know he has kind of a bad reputation as some evil movie critic, but I've been a huge fan of Roger Ebert's for years now. Every week I read his online reviews. Sometimes I agree with him, sometimes I think he's way off the mark, but I always respect his opinion. Last week he had to have emergency surgery and was in serious condition afterwords. He's been battling cancer for a few years now. Let's all pray for him and wish him a speedy recovery.
Ironically, his old side kick, Gene Siskel, died from a brain tumor.
2006-07-10Part 2 up and running Here's part 2 of "The Making of Sonic Clang's Studio".
2006-07-04The Making of Sonic Clang's Studio Part 1 I've started putting together videos of my friends and I building my studio. Youtube.com is the coolest site EVER, and I can't thank them enough for allowing people like me to put videos up on their site for free. Without them, no one besides my close friends would ever see the process of building my studio.
Here's part 1 of the video. (or just go here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12pWJ14s5S0 to watch it on youtube.com)
2006-06-20Check out my Myspace pages I've finally gotten on the Myspace bandwagon. The more I play around with it, the more I realize just how cool it really is. Yeah, it was a pain in the ass to learn... steep learning curve in my opinion. I've got two pages going at this point, one for my "Sonic Clang" music/news whatever, and one for my previous band "Dusk of Mind". We're planning on recording the songs we wrote in that band and release them. You can check out a couple of the songs on steaming audio that we had recorded back in 2003, and watch a few videos from a live show. Check out both sites.

2006-02-09Classic Doom 3 Mod of the month! And we were featured in this month's PC Gamer magazine, UK edition. The good people over at Moddb have named our mod "Mod of the Month"! I can't even say what a huge honor this is. Joe wrote a pretty darn good review too.

Also, our mod was just featured in PC Gamer magazine in the UK. We made it onto their DVD!! Inside the pages of the magazine they wrote, "“…it’s not the levels themselves that drive you on, but the music. There’s a thrashing, brilliant reworking of the E1M1 soundtrack that crashes through your speakers in the first moments, which absolutely demands you play on.” Needless to say, I’m extremely honored that they said that about my work.
2006-01-19Classic Doom 3 soundtrack released Ok, so I'm really slow with posting news. I've been enjoying my free time ever since I finished up the cdoom music.
I've released the full Classic Doom 3 soundtrack. It can be downloaded here. Classic Doom 3 soundtrack The number of downloads is growing all the time! It's been in the top ten downloads since I released it.
2005-10-16PC Action article about Executive Quarters PC Action’s October issue has an article about Executive Quarters, Jason McCord’s baby. Up until this morning I wasn’t able to read it (he first gave me a link a few weeks ago) because it was all in German. A friend of his was kind enough to translate it to English and Jason has put it up on his site.
It was exciting seeing my name mentioned a couple times. Well, not just mentioned, but they really liked my work. I’m so extremely proud of this achievement. It makes all the hours of hard work worth it. They mentioned my name two times in the piece. And they also mentioned “Classic Doom 3” which is cool for the team.
An interesting side note: SnoopJeDi (he’s in the Cdoom team as well) also worked on this level with Jason. The funny thing is though, when Jason contacted us, Snoop and myself had never met before, it was just pure coincidence that we both worked on this and both joined the cdoom team. …well I thought it was funny anyway. :P
